Casey Key Florida Home Sales Heating Up

The Summer temperature is not the only thing heating up on Florida's Gulf Coast, Casey Key home sales are heating up as well. Currently the Sarasota MLS reports 49 homes for sale on Casey Key. Our July 2 Casey Key real estate update showed that there were two homes under contract. In our April update, there was only one home under contract. Today there are 5 homes pending with listings prices from $2 million to $8 million – more evidence that the real estate recovery of the luxury market is beginning. Savvy buyers are taking advantage of the current market conditions. There has been one closed home sale on Casey Key in the last 6 months. We represented the buyer for this transaction.

Collecting Sharks Teeth on Casey Key Beach

You’ll see many walkers on Casey Key Beach with their heads down. They are looking for sharks’ teeth, shells and pieces of sea glass. Jewelry makers use sharks’ teeth especially in expensive designs and according to some sources rare sharks’ teeth can command a price of up to $5,000.
